Description

Forest pasture includes leaves, twigs, bark, buds of trees and bushes and was common especially in the 19th century. "A dry forest pasture, not overly dense with trees and bushes, free of swampy and boggy terrain, is without question among the better sheep pastures" If however there is the opposite, or if even only a few traits of the site deviate from the aforementioned, forest pasture can be highly damaging for sheep" (from: Gustav Heinrich Baumann. Die Schafzucht in ihrem ganzen Umfange. 1839)
